Neil Mantle, Director Manufacturing, Rolls-Royce plc
Neil leads the Global Manufacturing Function for Rolls-Royce reporting to the group CTO. Prior to this Neil was Director of Manufacturing Technology and before this Head of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing). He is Chair of the Advanced Forming Research Centre and sits on various Steering Advisory Boards and Global Industrial panels.
In his period in charge of Additive Manufacturing, Neil developed the industrial capability to develop and manufacture the world’s largest load bearing aero engine structure incorporating printed structural aerofoils to fly in 2015 and the research, technology and innovation to industrialise their high temperature nickel supper alloy additive manufacturing capabilities that is seeing introduction in the Pearl 10X engine that will power the Dassault Falcon 10X.
Neil joined Rolls Royce in 2011, having previously been Managing Director of MAG Industrial Automation Systems UK.
